维切尔·林赛（Vachel Lindsay）1879年生于美国伊利诺斯州首府斯普林菲尔德，20世纪20年代在诗坛崭露头角。诗集有The Congo and Other Poems（1914），Every Soul Is a Circus（1929）。其诗简朴，抒情意味浓厚、节奏感强，适于吟唱，多以普通人、物为歌咏对象。Sample Text
